Job summary

Jewel-Osco is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, data entry, and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision. You will interact with patients, handle transactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

In this role you will help maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace organized while adhering to HIPAA and federal/state laws. A detail-oriented, fast-paced environment suits you if you value accuracy and patient service.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18+ depending on location)
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist
• Enter data and prepare medications in accordance with regs
• Assist with customer interactions, transactions, and questions
• Direct clinical questions to the pharmacist and maintain accurate records
