Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in Kihei, Hawaii. You will process prescriptions, enter data and prepare medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will assist patients, handle transactions, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal/state laws while maintaining accurate records and restocking supplies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements.
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure as applicable in location.
• Ability to operate computers, registers and pharmacy systems.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data accurately.
• Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist patients by answering questions or directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain records, restock supplies and keep the workspace compliant with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and providers, including via phone.
