Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing and patient services under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will handle data entry, medication preparation, and may assist with daily operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient privacy. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on location requirements)
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Enter data accurately and prepare medications within regulatory guidelines
• Answer questions from patients and process transactions
• Direct clinical questions to the pharmacist as needed
• Maintain organization of records and restock supplies to ensure efficient workflow
