Walgreens offers an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & Department of Labor. This apprenticeship helps you become a certified Pharmacy Technician and maintain high industry standards, giving you a portable, nationally recognized credential.

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision, following state and federal regulations, and perform other pharmacy duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, resolving issues, and building relationships.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy operations, including prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and managing inventory.
• Handle clerical duties, process claims, and support clinical services as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and adhere to company policies.

Training & Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: six months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and PTCB certification.
