Responsibilities include:

• In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and resolving issues.

Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties like entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying correctness, and managing workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Handle sales, cash, and customer assistance at OTC aisles.
• Process claims, support inventory management, and maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Support relationship building with the medical community and maintain store appearance.
• Complete assigned tasks and maintain respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification.
• Participate in training and continuing education to stay informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
