• In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assists and coaches other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engages customers by greeting and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develops strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Under supervision, assists in pharmacy practice, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performs duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with inventory management.
• Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to error policies.
• Handles sales transactions, assists with inventory, and supports clinical services as needed.
• Maintains a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification. Certification is required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attends training and continuing education to stay updated with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately.
• Proficiency in computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is a plus.
• PTCB certification preferred.
