Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, including registering sales, managing cash, and assisting customers in locating products.
• Processing third-party claims and supporting inventory management activities.
• Supporting clinical services and maintaining relationships with the medical community.
• Ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, stocked, and orderly, and maintaining respectful coworker relationships.
• Completing special assignments and other tasks as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification, with promotion requirements as applicable.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
