Responsibilities include:
  1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
  2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
  3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow.
  • Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
  • Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
  • Support inventory management, clinical services, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.
  • Develop relationships with healthcare providers and support clinical and outreach activities.
  • Participate in maintaining the pharmacy's appearance and supplies, and complete assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state certification. Certification is required for promotion.
  • Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
