Job summary

VytlOne is seeking a highly competent Pharmacy Technician for per diem (PRN) roles at clinic-based pharmacies in Pittsburgh, PA. You will support pharmacists, assist with patient service, and help maintain accurate records while coordinating across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has a PA technician registration, a current PTCB certification or plan to obtain within 6 months, and at least 2 years of retail pharmacy experience. Flexibility to float between 3 pharmacies is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active/clear PA Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• Current PTCB certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (we will assist).
• Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Computer experience mandatory.

Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem (PRN) Greater Pittsburgh Area Floater

Estimated range of hourly pay is $22-$24 based on experience.

• Assist pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
• Provide friendly and cooperative patient service.
• Answer telephones quickly and with courtesy.
• Pull and count medication from shelves accurately according to label generated at time of dispensing for final check by Pharmacist.
• Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, training programs for Pharmacy Technicians, pharmacy staff meetings, in-service educational programs and other committees and functions as required by the facility and pharmacy department.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Assist in inventory control such as auditing receipt of goods, inventorying, stocking, pricing, monitoring usage, and correcting pricing and quantities in the computer.
• Inform the pharmacist of any alerts form the pharmacy system, such as contraindications, interactions, and allergies.
• Verify NDC number to pull and count medications.
• Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.
• Issue supplies to other pharmacies or departments as needed.
• Pre-pack and document medications accurately as needed.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.
• Maintains regular attendance according to established policies.
• Must pass and maintain security clearances as required by client(s).
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Willing to float between 3 pharmacies managed by VytlOne
• Active/Clear Pharmacy Technician registration in PA
• Current PTCB Certification, or ability to obtain your certification within 6 months (WE WILL ASSIST)
• A minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
• Proven track record of exemplary customer service
• Computer experience mandatory
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
• Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently
