Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem
Memorial Hospital of Gardena
Gardena, CA

Position Overview: As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Memorial Hospital of Gardena, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing. You will follow written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. This position may also work at Coast Plaza Hospital.

Schedule: This position requires a minimum of 4 hours per month up to 19 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 centralized pharmacy.

Pay Range: $23-$28+ per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential for some shifts.

About the Facility: Founded in 1953, Memorial Hospital of Gardena provides comprehensive healthcare to the community, with 173 licensed beds, including 103 acute and 69 sub-acute beds. The hospital admits approximately 7,400 patients and treats over 30,000 outpatients annually. It is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed for Medicare and Medi-Cal, along with various HMO's, PPO's, and managed care organizations. CPS Solutions, LLC manages the pharmacy operations.

About the Pharmacy: The centralized pharmacy operates 24/7 and is supported by AllScripts and Pyxis systems.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent hospital or retail pharmacy experience; inpatient experience preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Negative within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Immunity proof via MMR vaccination or blood titer
• (Varicella) Two doses or immunity proof via blood titer
• (Flu) Influenza vaccination required between Oct 1 and April 30
