Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Retail Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist in entering and filling medication orders, maintaining inventory, and assisting customers. The role emphasizes accuracy in medication processing and customer service within the Penn Highlands system.

Qualified candidates must be registered with the PA State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee (valid for 2 years, non-renewable); certification within 2 years

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be registered with PA State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee at hire (only valid for 2 years, cannot be renewed); Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of hire date or grandfathered by 06/28/2026.
• Preferred: Advanced computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Enter and fill medication orders; maintain drug inventory; records and assist customers/patients.
• Under direct supervision of the Pharmacist, assist in daily pharmacy operations.
• Handle billing and crediting processes within the Pharmacy Department.
