Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will prepare and dispense drugs, document records, and support the pharmacist in daily operations.

You will count, package, and label unit dose, assist pharmacists with orders and labels, perform quality control, prepare IV mixtures, maintain inventory, and support clerical tasks while upholding patient safety and service standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred.
Current FL Registered Pharmacy Tech; or Florida licensed pharmacy intern.
Pharmacy Tech Certification (CphT) preferred.
Pharmacy knowledge including medical terminology and prescription drug names.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, PC skills, analytical skills, and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

Count, package, and label unit dose for pharmacist inspection.
Assist pharmacists by filling orders and preparing labels.
Perform quality control and auditing to ensure medications are available to caregivers.
Prepare IV mixtures and operate automated systems.
Maintain pharmacy inventory and perform clerical duties.
Contribute to hospital improvement and service-excellence goals.
Follow guidelines for reporting medical errors or adverse outcomes.
