Job summary

Quality Food Center is seeking a pharmacy technician to support health and wellness initiatives and provide exceptional customer service in a compliant, safe environment.

You will assist pharmacists, ensure accurate data entry and dispensing, and help maintain licensure and certifications where required. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, patient care, and teamwork within a Kroger-affiliated organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a current national or state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment.
• Provide excellent customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing steps accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in coaching and training clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations and perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information against computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings in compliance with state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to store management.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report illegal activity as required.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
