Job summary

Cosentino's Price Chopper in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and assist customers with prescriptions and wellness needs. The role reports to the Pharmacist in Charge and requires strong customer service skills, accuracy, and knowledge of pharmacy software.

Training per Cosentino standards is provided, with certification preferred. You will handle cash transactions, verify prescriptions, communicate clearly with customers, and help maintain stock

Qualifications

• Completion of ongoing training per Cosentino Learning Plan.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Retail Pharmacy Software, and POS System experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Receives new and refilled prescriptions and processes them for filling.
• Verifies patient details and prescriber information on prescriptions.
• Processes cash register transactions for prescriptions.
• Provides medication instructions and side effects information to customers.
• Coordinates with Pharmacist for consultations when requested.
• Maintains patient profiles and inventory in the system.
