Job summary
ShopRite of Perth Amboy in Perth Amboy, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in providing medications and health products with high customer care. This role requires basic math, strong English skills, and the ability to stand for long shifts.
The position involves inputting patient information, processing prescriptions, stocking the pharmacy, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Benefits include vision, dental, and other plans.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
- Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with measurements.
- Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Comply with all pharmacy laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Input patient information for prescription processing.
- Assist Pharmacist in processing prescriptions and labeling.
- Stock and organize pharmaceuticals in the department.
- Maintain security and cleanliness of the Pharmacy area.
- Interact with physicians and resolve issues related to prescriptions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
