Job summary

Walgreens in Monroe, LA is seeking a Pharmacy Support role to assist pharmacists and staff in the daily duties of the Pharmacy Department. You will help process prescriptions, manage patient information, and support cash handling while delivering a friendly, proactive customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong English skills, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and preference for some retail or pharmacy exposure. PTCB certification is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer good math skills so they can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and in Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians and cashiers as applicable.
• Engage customers, greet and assist with products and services to deliver a delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, ensure accuracy, fill prescriptions, verify medicines and check for interactions.
• Maintain inventory, assist with clerical duties, and support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.
