Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in distribution and processing of prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. The role includes data entry, billing, inventory support, and customer service in a retail pharmacy setting.

Qualified candidates will hold a State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license and have at least a high school diploma; six months of retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and prepackages medication for patients under pharmacist supervision.
• Enters prescription information and processes prescriptions in the computer.
• Assists in training new staff and obtaining patient/insurance information.
• Handles billing and maintains filing for prescriptions and OTC products.
• Maintains accurate records of medications dispensed and assists in repackaging and shelf organization.
• Provides professional and friendly customer service to pharmacy customers.
• Assists with reprocessing rejected prescriptions and resolving problems at the counter.
