Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our Retail Pharmacy team. You will support pharmacists in delivering accurate prescriptions, patient-focused service, and efficient store operations.

The role requires adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and continuous learning across immunizations and other services. Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, assisting customers, and maintaining inventory while ensuring compliance with state boards and CVS policies.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements and licensure/certification.
• If the state board does not address a minimum age, candidate must be at least 16 years old.
• State-specific licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and patient care.
• Process prescriptions safely and accurately per workflow.
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care to ensure positive patient experiences at pickup, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Perform basic inventory tasks and cycle counts as directed by leadership.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team and stay flexible to meet business needs and scheduling.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies to protect patient privacy and safety.
• Support immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed by law and training.
• Adapt to regulatory requirements and maintain professional standards.
