Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate prescriptions and exceptional patient service in our California stores. The role emphasizes capturing correct medication details, following SOPs, and maintaining a patient‑centered experience.

Technicians will complete required training, meet state licensing requirements, and contribute to inventory control while supporting immunizations and other services where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must comply with any state board requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
• If the state board does not address a minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.
• If the state board does not address a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or equivalency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team to deliver safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off).
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at every interaction.
• Complete basic inventory activities and assist with medication deliveries and stock management.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while upholding a safe and inclusive team culture.
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
