Job summary

ChenMed Oak Lawn, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under the Pharmacist's supervision. You will use pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, assist with prescriptions, and help ensure safety, accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least one year of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; education can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting including data entry.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and complies with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct.
• Assists providers and patients by greeting them and answering questions; refer complex items to Pharmacist.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and order processing; verify receipts and remove outdated drugs.
• Enter patient and drug information; fill prescriptions; ensure accuracy and check interactions.
• Report prescription errors to Pharmacist and follow company policies on errors and quality.
