Job summary

Price Chopper Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will manage customer data, provide medication counseling, and help support pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include following the pharmacist's directions, entering data, keeping records, and contributing to financial and operational goals while maintaining security of controlled substances.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
• Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
• Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances.
