Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• Computer literacy. Must be self-directed with good organizational skills; excellent communication with medical staff and patients.
• Previous pharmacy work experience preferred. License/Certification: Valid North Carolina Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Attendance during normal work hours to meet goals and serve customers.
• Accept prescription requests and dispense prescriptions to patients or representatives.
• Collect and confirm patient information and note changes since last visit.
• Answer calls for refills and general pharmacy questions.
• Scan prescriptions, collect funds, and obtain electronic sign-off for pick-up.
• Direct patient counseling requests to the Pharmacist for advice and information.
• Reconcile cash drawer daily and prepare deposits for Finance.
• Assist Pharmacist in returning unpicked medications to stock and maintain records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
