Job summary

Inspira Health in New Jersey is hiring a Retail Pharmacy Technician to support medication storage, packaging and labeling, and to assist with reviewing prescriptions and patient plan coverage under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, NJ Pharmacy Technician registration within 6 months, completion of a certified technician program or passing the national exam, and a valid NJ driver’s license; prior retail pharmacy experience is

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Retail Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Registered New Jersey Pharmacy Technician required within 6 months of employment.
Completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program or passing score on the Certified Pharmacy Technician Examination.
Valid NJ Driver’s license required.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Performs storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs.
Obtains patient’s clinical and prescription plan coverage information.
Reviews new and/or refill prescriptions, with associated record keeping and patient charging systems.
Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and follows procedures for equipment and supplies.
