Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacist to practice in a patient-focused environment at our Michigan location. You will provide exceptional service and support to customers while ensuring compliance and accuracy in dispensing medications.

Responsibilities include interacting with patients, promoting clinical services, and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy. Licensed in-state or completed Meijer training as applicable is required or optional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing and basic math abilities.
• Strong organizational and teamwork capabilities.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at multiple service points.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services.
• Input customer and prescription data into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory as needed.
• Complete paperwork for prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock medications and maintain inventory cleanliness.
• Stay organized with prioritization and workload management.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in the applicable state, if required.
• Complete Meijer Employer based training if licensure not required.
