Formación

• High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year in a medical setting with patient care experience.
• Active pharmacy technician license/certificate.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to speak warmly and clearly on the telephone.
• Basic math skills: rate, ratio, percent; ability to perform calculations.
• Aptitude to learn new software pertaining to the position.

Responsabilidades

• Receive prescriptions and verify patient information, including insurance and allergies.
• Enter prescription data into the system and maintain patient profiles and inventory.
• Prepare prescriptions with pharmacist verification prior to dispensing.
• Provide prescriptions to patients with guidance and refer questions to the pharmacist.
• Process payments for prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
• Maintain FIFO inventory and conduct periodic stock audits.
• Receive and verify shipments against invoices and restock inventory accordingly.
• Store medications properly, including refrigeration of perishable items.
• Support administrative functions, including reports and correspondence.
• Perform billing reconciliations and processing of third-party claims.
• Maintain organized filing systems and a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in in-service training and departmental meetings.
