Overview

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN– Part Time - JPS Correctional Pharmacy

We are seeking a compassionate, caring and customer focused Per Diem (PRN) Pharmacy Technician to work as needed on Saturday or Sunday day shift in the JPS Correctional Pharmacy in Fort Worth, TX. Prior pharmacy experience and flexibility to work as needed is required, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Regular hours would be 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm, must be able to work either on Saturday or Sunday weekly (day is flexible) and also cover PTO for regular staff. Must be able to cover 3rd Shift 7pm-7am for call outs and preplanned PTO.

Clear and Current TX Pharmacy Tech license is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in providing accurate, timely, appropriate, and compliant pharmacy services as per local/federal regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Enter patient data and prescription information accurately and efficiently
  • Provide compassionate and attentive customer service
  • Answer telephones expediently and courteously
  • Demonstrate proficiency, sensitivity, and a sense of urgency during all phone and on-site interactions
  • Complete tasks in an organized, accurate and efficient manner
  • Think and act proactively
  • Demonstrate the utmost professionalism at all times
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • TX Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail pharmacy
