Job summary

Alto Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join a fulfillment site within Fuze Health. You will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, manage inventory, and deliver high-quality customer service to patients.

Key duties include ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment, performing quality checks, coordinating courier deliveries, and complying with Board of Pharmacy regulations and related laws. Onsite work is required, with open shifts across the week.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy technician experience required (minimum 6 months).
  • Experience in retail, hospital, outpatient, or fulfillment pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with prescription fulfillment and dispensing.
  • Manage inventory and ensure medication availability; assist with labeling and packaging.
  • Coordinate courier deliveries and ensure timely patient deliveries; route orders efficiently.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve internal systems and processes; comply with all regulations.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will assist pharmacists at a fulfillment site in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. You will help ensure that Alto Pharmacy’s operations run smoothly and efficiently while providing high-quality service to patients.

  • Ensure accurate prescription fulfillment through meticulous quality control, order consolidation, and precise labeling/packaging, while effectively routing third-party couriers for timely patient deliveries.
  • Perform detailed quality checks on prescription orders, manage inventory and medication availability, and coordinate courier deliveries to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with inventory management duties such as placing orders with vendors and confirming receipt, removing outdated drugs, and ensuring medication availability by maintaining/stocking automated dispensing machines.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance internal systems and processes, leveraging pharmacy expertise to contribute to a company revolutionizing the pharmacy experience, and cross-train to accommodate business needs.
  • Comply with all Board of Pharmacy regulations and other federal/state/local agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work the following shift: pharmacy is open 7 days per week.
  • Onsite Requirement: Must be able to commute to and work at the pharmacy location during scheduled shifts.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple platforms.
  • Know how to prioritize in a constantly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of working as a pharmacy technician.
  • Experience working in retail, hospital, outpatient pharmacy, or other fulfillment pharmacy settings.
Additional Information

Additional Physical Job Requirements: Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, frequently move around the pharmacy away from the computer terminal, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer and other pharmacy equipment and include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.   • Benefits: Part-time employees are provided accrued paid vacation and sick time and 11 paid holidays (7 for Pharmacy and Care team members), and are offered a 401(k) retirement savings plan, a flexible spending account (FSA), and employer-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance. Employees may be eligible for additional insurance plans if minimum hours worked requirements are met.
