Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join our fulfillment site, supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and delivering excellent patient service.

You will handle quality checks, inventory upkeep, and coordination of courier deliveries to ensure timely, accurate orders while adhering to regulatory requirements. This part-time role offers flexible shifts and on-site work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate prescription fulfillment with quality control and proper labeling/packaging.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate courier deliveries for timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with inventory orders, remove outdated drugs, maintain automated dispensing machines.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve systems and processes within a pharmacy setting.
  • Comply with Board of Pharmacy regulations and related agencies.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will assist pharmacists at a fulfillment site in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. You will help ensure that Alto Pharmacy's operations run smoothly and efficiently while providing high-quality service to patients.

Job Description

  • Ensure accurate prescription fulfillment through meticulous quality control, order consolidation, and precise labeling/packaging, while effectively routing third-party couriers for timely patient deliveries.
  • Perform detailed quality checks on prescription orders, manage inventory and medication availability, and coordinate courier deliveries to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with inventory management duties such as placing orders with vendors and confirming receipt, removing outdated drugs, and ensuring medication availability by maintaining/stocking automated dispensing machines.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance internal systems and processes, leveraging pharmacy expertise to contribute to a company revolutionizing the pharmacy experience, and cross-train to accommodate business needs.
  • Comply with all Board of Pharmacy regulations and other federal/ state/ local agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensure: A current CPhT pharmacy technician license or a pharmacy technician in training license, in good standing, in the applicable state.

  • Onsite Requirement: Must be able to commute to and work at the pharmacy location during scheduled shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of working as a pharmacy technician.
  • Experience working in retail, hospital, outpatient pharmacy, or other fulfillment pharmacy settings.

Additional Physical Job Requirements

Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, frequently move around the pharmacy away from the computer terminal, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer and other pharmacy equipment that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

  • Benefits: As a part-time, as-needed employee of the Company, you are eligible for all legally mandated benefits, including, but not limited to, paid sick time, workers' compensation insurance and unemployment insurance. The benefits team will review hours worked twice a year (early June and early December). If you meet the hours requirements, you may be eligible to participate in Alto's medical, dental and vision insurance for at least six months.
