Hawaii Pacific Health's Outpatient Pharmacy at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women and Children seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations and compound IV medications. You will fill routine orders and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Per Diem, rotating 8-hour shifts, with the Hawai‘i Pharmacy Technician registration required. Strong attention to quality, documentation, and patient safety are essential to deliver high-quality care to Hawai‘i’s people.
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Outpatient Pharmacy department at Hawai‘i Pacific Health is committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and service. We are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure our patients remain healthy by providing convenient access to safe and effective medication and offering expert advice. Our department partners with providers and other health care personnel in the hospitals and clinics to create a healthier Hawai‘i.
As the Pharmacy Technician, you will fill routine ordesr, compound various IV’s, and perform related technicial and clerical duties necessary for the operation of the department. We are looking for someone meticulous with strong organizational and communication skills, attention to quality control and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Current Hawai‘i Pharmacy Technician registration.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Previous outpatient pharmacy experience.
