Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient pharmacy operations under supervision. You will receive prescription requests, enter data, and prepare medications for dispensing, ensuring compliance with protocols.

You will assist customers, navigate insurance processes, and communicate with physicians to clarify details, while maintaining inventory accuracy and proper prescription profiling. This role requires a high school diploma and an active Pharmacy Technician license.

  • Support outpatient pharmacy operations under supervision of Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Technician Lead.
  • Receive prescription requests and enter them into the computer database.
  • Prepare medications for dispensing following pharmacy protocols.
  • Assist customers and patients at the cash register, providing friendly and efficient service.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve billing and coverage issues.
  • Communicate with referring physicians’ offices to clarify prescription details or resolve questions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock accordingly.
  • Profile prescriptions to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Pharmacy Technician Lead to support outpatient pharmacy operations.
  • Receive prescription requests and accurately enter them into the computer database.
  • Prepare medications for dispensing following pharmacy protocols.
  • Assist customers and patients at the cash register, providing friendly and efficient service.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Other education required to obtain and/or maintain Pharmacy Technician licensure may be necessary.

Experience:

  • Prior pharmacy technician or clerk experience, or pharmacy technician program current student or program graduate, preferred.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions required.
Licensure
  • Current Pharmacy Technician license required prior to date of hire and maintained thereafter.
Pay Range

USD $24.60 - USD $35.17 /Hr.
