About the Opportunity & Location

We’re working with a well-respected healthcare organization that’s currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation and distribution in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, including IV compounding, automation systems, and direct pharmacy support. You'll be part of a collaborative and mission-driven team dedicated to excellence in care delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare medications based on physician orders, including packaging, labeling, and scanning
Measure and mix ingredients such as emulsions, ointments, and powders using appropriate techniques
Refill and maintain automated dispensing machines; assist with controlled substance inventory
For trained staff: Assist in outpatient prescription sales and ensure compliance with state board requirements
Use electronic systems (e.g., Epic) to review patient records, manage RX messages, and print labels
Compound sterile IV medications using aseptic technique in accordance with proper protocols
Deliver medications to designated areas, including medication carts, refrigerators, and nursing units, on schedule
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, rotate stock, check expiration dates, and reorder supplies as needed
Provide support at the pharmacy window, answer phones, relay messages, and assist pharmacists as needed
Adhere to safety policies and departmental procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED
Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential via PTCB or equivalent exam approved by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
Comfort handling cash (for outpatient support roles)
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail

Preferred:

Prior pharmacy technician experience (hospital or retail setting)
