Job summary

VytlOne is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for The Pharmacy at Thibodaux Regional to support patient care and pharmacy operations. The role emphasizes accuracy in dispensing, patient interaction, and teamwork within a busy, no-weekend schedule.

Qualified candidates hold an active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license; CPhT is preferred, with 2+ years of experience and strong computer skills to operate pharmacy software efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
• Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience.
• Passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• In good standing with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge for adjudicating claims and filling prescriptions efficiently.
• Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
• Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
• Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and place completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify.
• Participate in inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies.
