Job summary

Mena Regional Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacist and ensure accurate dispensing records. The role includes inventory procurement, invoicing, Accudose station maintenance, and prompt medication delivery.

You will also assist in keeping formulary items up to date and supporting department records. Responsibilities include orienting new technicians, verifying receipts, and charging for items across hospital departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED required.
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Certification preferred.
• Physical requirements include standing/walking for long periods and lifting up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in charge with procurement of pharmaceuticals and maintaining inventory.
• Process invoices and charges; maintain accurate records of dispensing services and related duties.
• Maintain Accudose stations, records of supplies, and verify receiving reports against packing slips.
• Verify formulary items and price updates; manage non-formulary items and floor stock charges.
• Assist in orienting new pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
• Maintain department records and filing to support operational needs.
