Job summary

Pharmacy Alternatives is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician / Order Entry in Anaheim, CA, to join a non-retail pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), tuition discounts, and paid time off. The role involves compounding, inventory, and data entry in a closed-door setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting with medical terminology is required.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
• Detail oriented, goal oriented, team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Label products accurately with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding as needed.
• Enter patient and prescription data to generate labels.
• Assist with inventory management and handling expired meds.
• Handle returns per protocol and communicate with customers.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff.
• Operate in controlled drug areas and automated prepacking machines.
• Assist with IV medications and IV room sanitation.
