Job summary

PharMerica is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician in Hilo, HI for a closed-door, non-retail environment serving long-term care and senior living clients.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, labeling, compounding, data entry, and inventory. Schedule Mon-Fri with some weekends; a $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Competitive benefits available with licensure and training support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system.
• Assist with inventory management and handling returns.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate specialized tasks in Narcotics room and automated machines.
• Mix IV medications and service dispensing machines.
