Job summary

HomeTown Pharmacy in Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician trainee who can learn and earn through our board approved program, helping customers and supporting staff. The role focuses on accuracy, customer service, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

You will enter patient information, maintain safe operations, and work across Delivery, Dispensing, Data-Entry, Billing, and supervision. A strong focus on communication and eagerness to learn is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with basic computer systems and data entry.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the Pharmacy Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to meet service goals.
• Greet customers and provide quick, friendly service.
• Enter patient information into the pharmacy system for accurate billing.
• Maintain safety by following health codes and corporate standards.
• Understand all departments: Delivery, Dispensing, Data-Entry, Billing, and report to supervisor.

• Working as a collaborative team member to meet the service goals of the pharmacy
• Create a welcoming environment by greeting all customers and providing quick and efficient service
• Accurately enter patient information into the pharmacy database to assist with proper billing
• Maintain a safe pharmacy environment by adhering to health code guidelines and corporate standards.
• Working knowledge of all departments: Delivery, Dispensing, Data-Entry, Billing, and answering to the supervisor within each of those Departments.
• An understanding of pharmacy terminology including both generic and brand name drug names
• Knowledge of legal requirements for prescriptions
• Knowledge of Medical Record Information
