Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our lobby pharmacy in Detroit, working alongside a licensed pharmacist to ensure accurate prescription processing and friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include entering prescription data, handling billing, stocking inventory, and engaging with customers in a professional manner. A Michigan Pharmacy Technician license is required and six months of retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working alongside a registered pharmacist, you'll be the backbone of our lobby pharmacy! Here's what you'll be doing:

• Prescription Processing & Distribution: Manage the flow of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, ensuring smooth operations for our customers
• Data Entry & Tech Skills: Enter prescription information into our computer system with accuracy and speed
• Billing & Payment Processing: Handle billing transactions, collect payments for prescriptions and purchases, and maintain organized financial records
• Inventory Management: Keep shelves stocked and organized, ensuring we always have what our customers need
• Customer Engagement: Interact with the public in a helpful, professional manner- you're often the first friendly face people see!

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Minimum of six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
