Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will support pharmacists by distributing and processing prescriptions under supervision, and by handling OTC sales.

Responsibilities include entering prescription data, performing billings and file maintenance, stocking inventory, and assisting customers at the counter while maintaining accuracy and compliance with state licensing.

Qualifications

Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists in the distribution and processing of prescriptions and the sale of over-the-counter medications enters prescription data into computer. Performs billings and file maintenance. Receives payments for prescriptions and other purchases. Assists in the stocking and storage of inventory. Interacts and communicates with the public. Reports to pharmacists.

Education/Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Minimum of six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Requires valid State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license.
