Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in northern Illinois is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for per diem shifts at the Rockford campus. Work involves unit dose distribution, non-sterile compounding, and use of automated dispensing systems.

Per diem schedule includes evenings, nights, and weekends with differential pay where applicable. Illinois licensure is required; candidates may work up to 60 days post-application if licensed later.

Work Schedule:

Per diem, varying shifts, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime

Licenses & Certifications

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a "Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation" license from IDFPR. Required
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required
