Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a pharmacy team member to support customer care and prescription processing in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will retrieve medications, enter prescriptions, assist with insurance claims, stock medications and promote clinical services while maintaining confidentiality and professional appearance. Prior retail pharmacy experience and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail/Community Practice experience required or preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.
• Proficient typing skills and neat penmanship are important.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
