Qualifications

Is directly responsible for running the pharmacy robot and maintaining stock in automated dispensing cabinets. Draws up doses in the IV class 10,000 clean room utilizing a class 100 laminar flow hood and aseptic technique. Performs pharmacy stock QA inspections on all nursing units. Makes delivery/pickup rounds to unit and departments and performs computer order entry functions. Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisors/pharmacists.   Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure

  High School diploma required. Some previous pharmacy related or hospital clinical background preferred. Preference will be given to nationally certified pharmacy technicians. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

  • Pharmacy Tech I : Less than one year of experience, or 1+ years of experience without a Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Pharmacy Tech II : 1 year of experience and a Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Pharmacy Tech III : 1 year of experience and a Pharmacy Technician certification, and a specialty area of assignment ( trainer, automation expert, etc)

  Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Pay Range based on location and experience $17.85-$22.12
