Summary of Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Department Business Administrator, the Pharmacy Technician IV (Meds to Beds) will support various operations of the department. The employee in this position must demonstrate special skills, experience, and knowledge not expected of other pharmacy technicians They will perform all duties of the Meds to Beds Pharmacy Technician I/II/III, including assisting the pharmacists in day-to-day operations, patient outreach, medication delivery and other facets of the program. In addition to these duties, this Technician will be cross-trained and well versed in all retail technician duties and may be asked to assist with daily operations. The Pharmacy Technician IV will prioritize work based on immediate need and rapidly changing workload. They will work as a team member to perform day-to-day work efficiently and accurately, along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals. They will help with maintaining, changing, and implementing new workflows, technology/automation, and process improvement projects related to the Meds to Beds program. The Pharmacy Technician IV will promote staff engagement and patient satisfaction. They will also participate in the training and educating of new staff. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDPLUS Four (4)years r elevant pharmacy technician experience or Bachelors Degree in Pharmaceutical Science
Arkansas Pharmacy Technician Registration
National Technician Certification(PTCB)
One year to obtain ASHP/ACPE accredited training or approved certificate program
Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office and EMR experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. or higher degree
Specialized certificate or certification (i.e. PTCB Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician, ASHP Sterile Compounding Certificate, 340B Certification, Advanced CPhT, etc.)
Previous experience with 340B
Previous team leader experience
Specialized certification (i.e. Sterile Compounding Certification, 340B Certification, Immunization Certification, etc.)
Strong math and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
Promotes a safe working environment and maintains clean work surfaces in all dispensing areas
Assists with dispensing of will call and other patient prescriptions when necessary and in downtime
Documents all cleaning activities and duties on the appropriate log sheets
Understands how to operate all equipment (CII safe, Parata Max, Rover, printers, etc)
Maintains Parata Max inventory levels, restocking when needed
Assists in weekly and monthly duties, such as cycle counts, return to stock drugs and expired drug pulls
Performs and documents monthly inspection of assigned clinical medication storage area
Cashier duties as assigned, adhering to HIPAA regulations and showing exceptional patient care
Assists pharmacists with answering phones when necessary, routing to appropriate area
Is primarily responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies for assigned work area
Assists with establishing and maintaining appropriate par levels for all medications and supplies
Helps ensures proper storage conditions for all medications
When appropriate, creates bin labels to assist with stocking/reordering the proper item numbers from the wholesaler
Restocks assigned areas daily or as needed
Rotates medications appropriately so that packages with the earliest expiration dates are used first
Removes expired drugs from assigned areas monthly
Assists with receiving, unpacking, and/or putting away deliveries and shipments of medications and supplies
Places orders for supplies through SAP
Maintains order and cleanliness of all drug storage areas in the pharmacy
Perform other duties assigned.
