Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from accredited Pharmacy Technician School required.
• 1 year experience in Pharmacy required.
• Perform dose calculations and ensure accurate product selection; maintain sterility.
• Follow USP797/800 compliant clean room PPE to reduce exposure and contamination.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• CA DCA Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City); must obtain within 30 days if not on hire.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a pharmacist at all times.
• Drug distribution and intravenous admixture in hospital and infusion center.
• Operate Pyxis automated dispensing systems; ensure medications are properly barcoded.
• Maintain CII Pyxis inventory.
• Accurate preparation and dispensing of medications with pharmacist verification.
• Assist health care providers with timely phone communication.
• Triage workflow to optimize medication delivery.
• Maintain inventory; restock medications and supplies.
• Complete monthly expiration medication assignments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and MILT4 repackaging processes.
