Jobtailor is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, perform IV compounding, and prepare medications for dispensing at our facility in New York. The role involves inventory management, ordering, and patient communication, with adherence to pharmacy laws and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has a PTCB certification, hospital pharmacy experience, and strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Qualifications
- PTCB certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Flexible working schedule.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescription orders per State Boards.
- Perform IV compounding.
- Prepare medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
- Take inventory, order placement, stock shelves and remove outdated items.
- Enter patient data and prescription info into the pharmacy system.
- Maintain knowledge of and abide by pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Ensure orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist; document activity.
