Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a hospital team in Oregon. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to perform clerical and technical tasks, including labeling, IV prep, and medication delivery in patient care areas. Strong customer service and basic math skills are required.

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, variable position represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Licensing at hire in Oregon is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy helpful, including unit dose and IV admixtures.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter inpatient orders/prescriptions and prepare labels.
• Answer calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Inspect medications for outdates at Pyxis stations.
• Prepare IVs and chemotherapeutic IVs as requested.
• Package drugs and maintain records.
• Reconstitute medications and manage inventory.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and reconcile inventories.
• Data entry for patient charges and credits.
• Restock and process invoices and backorders.
