Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacy technician to support our pharmacy operations in Michigan. You will interact with patients, promote clinical services, and input prescription data in the dispensing system.

Responsibilities include labeling, adjudicating insurance, inventory management, and maintaining a compliant, organized pharmacy environment. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, state licensure as required, retail pharmacy experience, strong customer service, typing, and math

• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
• National certification credential (PTCB/NHA) for a pharmacy technician.
