Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Team Member in Grand Rapids, MI to retrieve medications, enter patient data, and process prescriptions in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

You will also handle insurance claims, stocking, and promotion of clinical services while maintaining confidentiality and a professional environment.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent as required by state.
• Retail or community pharmacy experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Proficient typing skills.
• Neat and legible penmanship.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Good attendance record.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication, over-the-counter products and supplies for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication and over-the-counter products.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
