Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity, and providing our team members with support. We are seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician (PT).
The Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, including counting, measuring, mixing, labeling, and recording medication details according to prescriptions. They also provide customer service in person and over the phone, assist with Patient Assistance Program, and handle Prior Authorization requests.
The Inventory Specialist orders medications from the wholesaler, maintains invoices, manages stock levels, conducts cycle counts, monitors medication expiry, and manages returns to maximize reimbursement.
The pharmacy is located at:
257 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm; Technicians work 8 hours with a half-hour lunch. We are hiring for the 9:30 am to 6 pm shift.
