Job summary

Oneida-Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to stock and assist pharmacists with filling orders. The role emphasizes inventory management, drug preparation, packaging, labeling, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a busy pharmacy setting.

The technician will support the Pharmacist under supervision, perform calculations, document medications, and ensure safe storage and handling of drugs in accordance with USP standards and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• National Certification and NYS Pharmacy Tech certification required.

Responsibilities

• Stocking pharmacy supply items and assisting the Pharmacist in filling orders.
• Perform minor clerical duties and data entry related to inventory and environment management.
• Assist in preparing, administering, and documenting medications per state and federal regulations.
• Prepare and deliver admixtures and IV solutions; perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Maintain compliance with USP standards, OSHA guidelines, and PHI privacy requirements.
