South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under supervision of a registered pharmacist to support hospital operations, including processing unit dose orders, refilling dispensing cabinets, and assisting with sterile and non-sterile compounding.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 months of Pharmacy Technician experience, hospital experience preferred, and eligibility for RPT or RPI licensure.

Job Description Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy Services, performs a wide variety of Pharmacy duties to meet the needs for patients in the hospital. Pharmacy Technician duties include filling routine drug orders for unit dose medications, refilling medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets, performing Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding . Other duties include repackaging of medication into unit dose barcoded packages, replenishes code carts drug supply and performs inventory duties for the Central Pharmacy operation.

Job Description

Minimum Education - Preferred
High school level of education.

Minimum Work Experience
Miniumum of 3 months work experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred. Hospital pharmacy experience desirable.

Required Licenses / Registrations - Requirement to practice a profession. Licenses are granted by a licensing board in accordance with state law.RPT or RPI - Registered Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Intern
